LoveBox Festival 2015

19 July 2015
Jessie Ware was incredible! If you ever get a chance to see her, do it! She seems like the nicest and most down to earth artist I've seen in a while, plus her songs are beautiful!
Heres my outfit that I wore to the festival. Top and shorts are from ASOS. Necklace from Oasis. Shoes from H&M. Choker and lace throw on from New Look. Sunglasses from Topshop.
Your probably thinking these chips look gross but let me tell you. Chips with gravy and cheese are just amazing! On those days where you go wild and forget about healthy food, this is what you need!
So I can bee a right nutter sometimes and this blog is one about me, imperfections and all so this just gives you a little glimpse into what I'm like on a daily basis. Life's too short to be normal - right?
Lovebox 2015 was such a great day out. Music was good and it was great to spend some quality time with my man. Although we live together we don't actually spend much time together with our busy work lives. Today was a day for us to enjoy life without the annoying distractions ad create some memories.

Make most of the days you have and live it to the full. Always do what makes you happy!
That can be a walk on the beach, getting an ice cream or sob in front of Netflix for half a day feeling sorry for yourself. You might not be an outdoors kind of person and prefer spending time in your happy place. I'm trying to make a conscious effort to be more social as I can be a bit of a hermit crab at the best of times. Its helping my confidence a lot and I always feel better once I'm in the situation than I do thinking about it. Don't ever feel like you need to live your life in a certain way, just make sure your happy doing whatever you want. Life really is too short.

Try and enjoy your week the best you can.
Ciao!

New Lauch: These Details

19 November 2014
Happy Wednesday everyone!

I thought I would pop by and tell you about a new fashion launch which is launching as of today. Do you like reading/watching reviews before you purchase an item? I'm assuming yes, as thats the reason you are all blogging in the first place. Now you see this a lot in the beauty world but not so much in the fashion. 'These Details' has launched  to solve that problem.

Its a useful and easy way to watch 1-2 minute video reviews of products that everyday people like me or you have brought and tested. If your looking for a new jacket and wondered how it fits, what the textures like and how it feels, then this is the website for you. Its a great way to see what your buying before receiving it in the post, with the disappointment that it is not the item you were expecting.

As well as getting detailed information on the product, you can also comment on the video with any questions you might have which may have not been answered. You can also upload a review of something you have brought recently and see how it trends on the site yourself. The most popular reviewers can then become one of the founding reviewers for the site! How exciting!

This is a new and innovative way to shop so why not become part of the journey now?

This is my first video, so I need a bit of practise talking to a camera, but it was fun to make. Let me know what you think.

OOTD | Checked Out

15 October 2014

Hello there lovelies! Today I have an outfit for you that I just love! All these items I keep grabbing on a daily basis are relatively new (Sorry wardrobe for neglecting you) which has made me realise I'm really starting to understand my own style. Lately I have been all about comfort but I still want to look cute so wearing a simple outfit like this ticks all those boxes.
ASOS Fashion Union Jacket - £45

I got this jacket when I was having a quick browse through ASOS (as you do) and I fell in love with it straight away. I love the boyfriend style of jacket anyway as I find they sit well over anything and are a classic shape which will always stay on trend. The fact that this had a checkered pattern on it and it was in a monochrome print, I knew I had to have it.

Topshop Brit Lace up Boots - £42
One of my newest purchases are these boots! My favourite ones broke while I was in Paris and while I wait to get them fixed I had to get some more as I can't bare getting wet feet in the UK rain. I've always had a love for the Vagabond Diion boots but for £90 a pop I was unsure, seeing as my last ones were at this price and they broke on me. I was having a little browse in Topshop and saw these hanging there, I ran towards them to see they were only £42 compared to the £90 I was considering to pay! They are so similar and oh so comfy that I could not resist.
Topshop Jamie Jeans £42
At the same time as finding the boots, I also saw these Topshop Jamie jeans. I loved how they were an off black with a hint of blue in them and having a ripped knee just hit the nail on the head. I didnt even bother trying them on as I know how well Jamie Jeans fit. They felt like butter on my skin so I knew I wouldnt be able to put them down anyway.

To top off the outfit I added a simple grey tank and an old tartan scarf of mine just to add some colour to my dark outfit. I think the whole outfit really works and it great for day to day duties or a day at the office.

By the way...Welcome to my roof terrace! You'll be seeing a lot more of this over the next year. I cant get enough of it, especially when it decides to stop raining!

What are your favourite A/W pieces?

Style | Modern Gothic

24 September 2014
So as A/W sets in and the weather starts getting cooler, the new trends start appearing in the shops. I'm not a massive trend follower, I just wear what I like and end up getting a few pieces over the months that I see and end up realising there are certain trends I like.

Looking at whats coming up in A/W is always my favourite as they are my favourite months as I find I always feel comfortable and confident in warm but stylish clothing. I decide to embrace a new trend to see how I could style it as I want to get better at that so I took on the 'modern victorian' trend and make it my own in a way that I would wear it!
What I like about this trend is that its basically mixing lace with black textures which really appealed to me. So online I went and in my wardrobe I searched for clothes, to see what I could come up with and this is the final outcome. I ended up really loving the trend and I can't wait to get more pieces this season to start mixing my own girly/grunge looks which is the kinds of look I normally go for anyway.

ASOS / Pretty Midi Skater Dress  / Vintage Necklace / Belt
River Island / Coat
New Look / White chunky heels

I hope you like the look! Let me know if you want to style up any other trends?
What trends have you been loving lately?

Lifestyle | #BLFW Pre-Party

7 September 2014
So as you may have been on social media and the blogosphere in general. There has been a few bloggers events lately, one of the main ones being Bloggers Love Fashion Week. This is a chance for bloggers who are mainly fashion and beauty based to attend an event to see up and coming brands showcase their A/W collections.

I went to the pre-party and so I thought I would show you some of the pictures I got while I was there although I was talking a lot of the time so I didn't get as many as I wanted but I'm not keen on posts being too photo heavy anyway. When we got there we got ourselves a blog inspired cocktail and then started mingling around the room talking to bloggers and brands alike.

The aim of the pre-party was to get other bloggers to network so when it came to fashion week some of us knew each other because whats better than making some new blogger friends? There were also different booths available where advice was given on blogging, vlogging and taking photographs which was extremely helpful. I'm using the advice now to help shape my blog into the blog I want it to be, so thank you very much for your words of wisdom LDN Bloggers.

One of the brands there which was very much to my taste was Ellie Air Jewellery. She handmakes every piece of jewellery in her studio which means that one will never be exactly the same. The style is very minimalist which I think is totally gorgeous! Just look at that ring! They are over at ellieair.co.uk if you want to check out more of their collection.

Sitting in the middle of the event was the most amazing sweet bar which most of us couldn't stop eating! The best part was that they were all pink in colour which made it just as amazing to look as it was eating them. I put some into bags to eat at home as I'm not the most elegant of people when it comes to sweets!

This is what me a Jough (partner in crime) wore to the event. Jough was wearing an ASOS dress with Topshop boots and I was wearing a Topshop top and skirt with my beloved New Look Shoes and Miss Selfridge clutch.

We met some lovely girls that night who we chatted away to most of the time. It was such a lovely event and it makes blogging all worth while as this is the reason I am blogging in the first place. I'm so socially awkward which you will notice if you meet me but once I feel comfortable hopefully that isn't that case.

I hope you enjoyed snooping at some of the photos. If you want to see a particular thing when I go to another event please let me know so I can make sure I get snapping when I'm there.
Thank you to Bloggers Love for the amazing evening and to all the lovely bloggers who attended and got the privilege to meet. Tomorrow I'll be posting an extra post of the few snaps I got from Day 2 of the fashion week, so keep a look out.
