OOTD | She's o lucky

28 October 2014
So the days are getting darker, colder and the leaves are starting to fall. This does not mean you have to cover up what yo' mumma gave you! Dressing in jewel tones is my favourite and this year you can get your hands on something in every shape and style.

We automatically go for cosy jumpers and knits but why not try and midi dress and boots? It gives you a chance to whip out some leg just before winter hits but if you don't feel comfortable in showing those pins, then you can wear some tights. I got this dress from Topshop and I love it. It fits in all the right places and skims the parts I want to shadow. The colour is gorgeous and its simple enough to dress up or down and the click of a hat....tah dah!

The Autumn days aren't always as pretty as you rememeber summer to be, but I can't beat relaxing on my roof terrace with the wind in my hair and the views for miles wide. Its a breathtaking experience and one I will never take for granted. Make the most of everything, clouds and all because your living and whats better than that?

I spent the weekend watching planes with my wonderful Grandad, which I got more into than I expected. It was wonderful to spend some quality time with him as well as get a little educated about what goes on in the sky. Just look at the kinds of photos you can get.

Dress & Boots: Topshop / Faux Fur: River Island / Hat: Spitalfields Market / Necklace: Select

I'll leave you with these photos of me having the time of your life and a question. Do you make the most of your life? Your family, friends, home or even your belongings? Look how lucky you are.... Love Khrissie x

OOTD | Checked Out

15 October 2014

Hello there lovelies! Today I have an outfit for you that I just love! All these items I keep grabbing on a daily basis are relatively new (Sorry wardrobe for neglecting you) which has made me realise I'm really starting to understand my own style. Lately I have been all about comfort but I still want to look cute so wearing a simple outfit like this ticks all those boxes.
ASOS Fashion Union Jacket - £45

I got this jacket when I was having a quick browse through ASOS (as you do) and I fell in love with it straight away. I love the boyfriend style of jacket anyway as I find they sit well over anything and are a classic shape which will always stay on trend. The fact that this had a checkered pattern on it and it was in a monochrome print, I knew I had to have it.

Topshop Brit Lace up Boots - £42
One of my newest purchases are these boots! My favourite ones broke while I was in Paris and while I wait to get them fixed I had to get some more as I can't bare getting wet feet in the UK rain. I've always had a love for the Vagabond Diion boots but for £90 a pop I was unsure, seeing as my last ones were at this price and they broke on me. I was having a little browse in Topshop and saw these hanging there, I ran towards them to see they were only £42 compared to the £90 I was considering to pay! They are so similar and oh so comfy that I could not resist.
Topshop Jamie Jeans £42
At the same time as finding the boots, I also saw these Topshop Jamie jeans. I loved how they were an off black with a hint of blue in them and having a ripped knee just hit the nail on the head. I didnt even bother trying them on as I know how well Jamie Jeans fit. They felt like butter on my skin so I knew I wouldnt be able to put them down anyway.

To top off the outfit I added a simple grey tank and an old tartan scarf of mine just to add some colour to my dark outfit. I think the whole outfit really works and it great for day to day duties or a day at the office.

By the way...Welcome to my roof terrace! You'll be seeing a lot more of this over the next year. I cant get enough of it, especially when it decides to stop raining!

What are your favourite A/W pieces?

Lifestyle | #BLFW Pre-Party

7 September 2014
So as you may have been on social media and the blogosphere in general. There has been a few bloggers events lately, one of the main ones being Bloggers Love Fashion Week. This is a chance for bloggers who are mainly fashion and beauty based to attend an event to see up and coming brands showcase their A/W collections.

I went to the pre-party and so I thought I would show you some of the pictures I got while I was there although I was talking a lot of the time so I didn't get as many as I wanted but I'm not keen on posts being too photo heavy anyway. When we got there we got ourselves a blog inspired cocktail and then started mingling around the room talking to bloggers and brands alike.

The aim of the pre-party was to get other bloggers to network so when it came to fashion week some of us knew each other because whats better than making some new blogger friends? There were also different booths available where advice was given on blogging, vlogging and taking photographs which was extremely helpful. I'm using the advice now to help shape my blog into the blog I want it to be, so thank you very much for your words of wisdom LDN Bloggers.

One of the brands there which was very much to my taste was Ellie Air Jewellery. She handmakes every piece of jewellery in her studio which means that one will never be exactly the same. The style is very minimalist which I think is totally gorgeous! Just look at that ring! They are over at ellieair.co.uk if you want to check out more of their collection.

Sitting in the middle of the event was the most amazing sweet bar which most of us couldn't stop eating! The best part was that they were all pink in colour which made it just as amazing to look as it was eating them. I put some into bags to eat at home as I'm not the most elegant of people when it comes to sweets!

This is what me a Jough (partner in crime) wore to the event. Jough was wearing an ASOS dress with Topshop boots and I was wearing a Topshop top and skirt with my beloved New Look Shoes and Miss Selfridge clutch.

We met some lovely girls that night who we chatted away to most of the time. It was such a lovely event and it makes blogging all worth while as this is the reason I am blogging in the first place. I'm so socially awkward which you will notice if you meet me but once I feel comfortable hopefully that isn't that case.

I hope you enjoyed snooping at some of the photos. If you want to see a particular thing when I go to another event please let me know so I can make sure I get snapping when I'm there.
Thank you to Bloggers Love for the amazing evening and to all the lovely bloggers who attended and got the privilege to meet. Tomorrow I'll be posting an extra post of the few snaps I got from Day 2 of the fashion week, so keep a look out.

What I Wore Wednesdays #BLFW

3 September 2014
Happy Wednesday guys! Its mid-week already yay! So wednesdays are going to be when I post about fashion, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled each week for something new. Todays outfit is for Bloggers Love Fashion week #BLFW which I am attending this evening. It's a really great way to meet new bloggers and brands and you also get the chance to meet some fellow friends from Twitter. I'm excited to see whats in store so keep a look out for a post on it on Monday.
As it's bloggers fashion week, lots outfits are prepped in the hopes of creating an outfit you love!
I wanted to dress for this transition period of summer to autumn so I thought mixing colours with monochrome would be the perfect way! I found this dress in Topshop the other week and I love it!
From the bold print to the pops of colour, it has ME written all over it!

I have seen this style of shoe everywhere and if you have seen lots of my posts you would know I am addicted to my white chunky heels from New Look. While in Topshop, I found a pair which were £55 but knowing New Look have a great shoe section I thought I would have a look just incase. There at the bottom of the shelf were a few pairs of these left, I tried them on and fell in love. They are just as comfy as my white pair and they look cute too. New Look...I love you!

I paired the outfit with colourful nail polish and my new yellow clutch from Miss Selfridge and I was done. I am so happy with the outcome minus my pasty legs but I'm going to roll with it as I have no time to tan. To finish off the look I curled my hair with my new curling wand which is an absolute dream! A new post on that is coming soon so keep a look out on Saturdays when I post about beauty.

I cant wait to meet some of you at #BLFW
Catch you soon

Mini Topshop Haul

17 August 2014

 Hello there my lovelies!

So last weekend I met up with my bestie for a spot of shopping. I'm trying to update my wardrobe with a style thats more me as I feel my clothes are quite boring at the moment. I'm really loving the whole sports luxe trend at the moment and I feel so comfortable and sassy in the items I have brought so far that I knew I wanted some more.

This top and skirt are the pieces I ended up buying. If you follow me on Instagram you would have already seen it on me. I'm really into midi skirts at the moment and when I saw this I just had to have it! I love the sports material and paired with the simple ribbed crop top and my beloved chunky white shoes I think it would be a prefect summer/autumn outfit.

Top £7.99 / Skirt £35

This was one of those necklaces where I was trying to find my letter for ages and once I did I just had to buy it. What I love about this is these are actually three separate necklaces so you can wear them individually or with other necklaces for different looks, plus that iridescent stone is just gorgeous!

Necklace £12.99

I saw this bag randomly placed while I was having a wonder round and had to pick it up. Its actually from Miss Selfridge but as Miss Selfridge and Topshop are combined on Oxford street I'm including it in here as I just love it!. I'm trying to add more colour into my wardrobe and starting with accessories is the best way as you can experiment wearing them with different colour combinations you wouldn't dare to try with clothes and so far so good! I wore this to a wedding and it came in handy when the bridesmaids needed me to look after their phones.

Clutch £16

Now lets just take a moment here to admire the beauty!....I always wear aviators and I've seen this brand on the likes of Clothes Encounters (ImJennIm) and I follow 'Quay Australia' on Instagram. I was browsing the sunglasses stands (Topshop have a lot) and saw there was a stand for Quay Australia and I got super excited! Ive been umming and ahhing over them for ages but I was too worried to order them online as not many sunglasses suit me so I didn't want the trouble of buying and sending pairs back. I tried these on, got best friend approval and went straight into my basket!

Quay Australia 'Estelle' Sunglasses £30

I've seen a lot of people in the blogging world talk about this highlighter so I pick it up on my round of browsing the beauty section. Friends have been using it since and they love it too! Its the perfect champagne colour and blends out beautifully, leaving brow and cheekbones beautifully defined.

Highlighter £10

I also spotted this nail varnish on my way to the checkout (who doesn't love a good nail varnish) and have to pick it up. I don't think I have a good silver polish in my collection so I just had to get it. I have been wearing it non stop at the moment as it goes with everything and even looks good on your toes.

Nail Polish £5

So theres my roundup of what I have brought lately. Topshop is where its at as most of you well
know and I'm itching to have another look soon but I going to try and wait until next pay day.
Have you brought anything new lately?

Enjoy your sunday!

A piece of America...

26 May 2014
I hope your all having a lovely weekend! Here are a few shots of me on the canal in Camden, London.
(Im such a doofous I know but I'm still getting used to a camera in my face and I find it harder being serious ha!). I'm lucky to live near the canal as its a lovely place for a weekend walk in the sun and its not overcrowded like most of London on the weekend, check it out if your visiting!

So this is a new top that I brought from the new up and coming app 'Depop'. This is an app where you can sell old/new things that you don't want anymore. Its like a combination of ASOS marketplace and Ebay. I like how you can gain followers and follow other people, so when they post a new item you can make sure you grab it first or they can see what you post next. There are some well know bloggers on there too so check it out!

Top / Depop
Trousers / H&M
Shoes / Topshop

Depop @khrissieloves

I love this shirt, its one of those styles which are really 'in' right now as I think its one of those nice trends where you can look effortless really easy. I've also been loving these shoes at the moment, they are oh so comfy and I'm really into white this season and they go with almost anything.

Life is quite busy work wise at the moment so I don't have much energy at the end of the week when I want to do my own thing. I brought a new notebook so I can start organising my hobbies and interests as I really want to make a go at blogging and get better at writing etc etc...

Rambles over... hehe! Catch you soon!

Love from Brussels...

18 May 2014

Top: Topshop / Jeans, Sunglasses & Necklace: Primark / Boots: Urban outfitters / Coat: New Look

So here are some more picture from my trip to Brussels, these images are from when we went to Ghent for the day. As you can see Ghent is a beautiful city and I definitely want to visit again in the future. The architecture is to die for so walking around with ice cream in one hand and chocolate in the other, was ideal. (Trying out the fruit beers was also a fun time for me)

While we were there we went to the design museum as we thought it might be inspirational for our graphic design minds. I did enjoy it as we got to see the Robert Dyas exhibition as well as some quirky pieces of art. Nick took some images of my outfit while we were in one of the sections of the museum and as you can see I'm not very good at acting serious when Im having my picture taken as I know I have one of those moody relaxed faces ha! So being silly is usually the outcome and it shows my 'fun' side, right?

I'm trying to travel more this year as I have this urge to explore and 'live the adventure'
I feel I'm in a funny stage of my life at the moment as I'm enjoying my job but I kind of feel its not what I'm meant to be doing...and I'm not sure what it is I am? So join me on my journey to discovering where I'm meant to be in life.

Chow!
